FORECAST HEADLINES:
- Category 4 Hurricane Beryl should weaken in the coming days
- Beryl’s impact on Texas still remains a big question

A weak front will drop into Texas on Saturday giving us a 20% chance of afternoon showers Saturday and Sunday, but most of the action will be just to our north.
Rain chances late Sunday through Tuesday will hinge on Beryl’s organization, path, and strength.
HURRICANE BERYL:
Hurricane Beryl is likely to impact the Yucatan Peninsula by Friday, weaken into a tropical storm, then emerge into the Southern Gulf of Mexico on Saturday.
Beryl could then impact the coast of Mexico OR Texas by Sunday/Monday.
We will be watching for the potential of Beryl restrengthening into a hurricane while in the Gulf, and we’ll watch for the exact positioning of upper-level systems which will help steer Beryl into Eastern Mexico or Texas.
INDEPENDENCE DAY:
There’s no change in the forecast, with highs near 100°. Firework festivities should go off without a hitch. Just know that if you plan to be outdoors, that heat index values will be up to105° in the afternoon. By the evening, however, it should feel okay with breezy conditions and mild temperatures in the 80s.
