AS Monaco Basket is now back-to-back champs

Jaron Blossomgame’s name may be familiar to Pounders whose memory go into the depths of Spurs past. Blossomgame was drafted in 2017 with the 59th pick in the NBA Draft.

He spent his time relegated to the G-League affiliate Austin Spurs where he, along with Derrick White, Nick Johnson Jeff Ledbetter, Olivier Hanlan, and Darrun Hilliard won the 2018 G-League Championship.

Blossomgame was traded after that season to Canton Charge and played the next two season predominantly in the G-League save a few games with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He moved overseas in 2020, where he he’s been ever since.

In 2022, Blossomgame joined AS Monoco Basket, which currently competes in the French top-tier level LNB Pro A and the EuroLeague.

Last year, they won the French Cup.

This year, they repeated.

If the team name is familiar, former NBA star Kemba Walker is also a current member of the roster.

Donatas Motiejūnas, who also played for the San Antonio Spurs for a hot minute (3 games between April 5 and 10 of 2019), is the team’s starting center.

Congratulations to Blossomgame and the entire AS Monoco Basket organization.
